Concerto Gala to showcase top talent at OU

NORMAN — Gifted musicians will take center stage at the 2018 Concerto Gala performing with the University of Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra.

The winners of the 2017 Concerto Competition are OU School of Music students Qiang Fu, violinist; Todd van Kekerix, pianist; Michael Stafford, pianist; Hunter Stutzman, marimbist; and Jared Waters, saxophonist.

The concert is scheduled for 8 p.m.

USAO to present comedy 'The Philadelphia Story'

CHICKASHA — The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma's theater arts department will flex its comedic muscles in its spring production of “The Philadelphia Story.”

Written specifically for Katherine Hepburn in 1938, this classic comedy of manners tells the story of a socialite whose wedding plans are complicated by the simultaneous arrival of her ex-husband and an attractive magazine journalist.

The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m.
