12th Ave SE Project begins March 5

Construction on the 12th Avenue SE Widening Bond Project begins Monday. The project limits are 12th Avenue SE from north of Cedar Lane Road to Oak Tree Avenue. 
Traffic will be allowed at all times including access to all adjacent properties. 

Historic Windows workshop set for March 10

Registration is now open for a Historic Windows 101 class sponsored by the Norman Historic District Commission. The workshop is March 10 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Andrews Park Building at 201 W. Daws. The class will provide instructions on the basics of historic windows, window repair and weatherization, and preservation of historic windows. 

Lane shifts on Monday on Crossroads Boulevard for waterline replacement

The eastern lanes of Crossroads Boulevard between Greenwood Drive and Robinson Street will be closed on Monday to continue work to replace aging waterlines. Traffic will be two-way with one lane in each direction on the west side of the median. 

Local access will be available to adjacent properties. Traffic control signs will be in place to direct motorists.

Traffic Signal Cabinet to be Replaced at 24th Ave SW and Boyd Street

The traffic signal controller cabinet at the 24th Avenue SW and Boyd Street intersection will be replaced on Thursday. If weather permits, city traffic control crews will begin work shortly after 9 a.m., and while work is underway, the intersection will be controlled by stop signs on each of the four approaches to the intersection.

The western lanes of Crossroads Boulevard between Greenwood Drive and Robinson Street closed on Monday for work to replace aging waterlines. Traffic remains two-way with one lane in each direction on the east side of the median. Local access is available to adjacent properties for residents only. 

Landscape project on West Lindsey begins Monday

On Monday at approximately 9 a.m., a contractor working for the city will begin installing irrigation lines and plantings on the south side of West Lindsey Street from McGee Drive to Berry Road. The work will require temporary closure of the outside eastbound lane. The inside eastbound lane will be fully open.

Santa Fe Ave to close Monday for underground utilities to be located

On Monday at approximately 8 a.m., Santa Fe Avenue will close between Main Street and Comanche Street to allow for underground utilities to be exposed and accurately located. The street will reopen later in the day as the utilities have been located and the road restored.

Signs will be in place to assist motorists to detour one block east or west during the work.

The traffic signal controller cabinet at the 24th Avenue NW and Mt. Williams intersection will be replaced on Wednesday. If weather permits, city traffic control crews will begin work shortly after 9 a.m., and while work is underway, the intersection will be controlled by stop signs on each of the four approaches to the intersection.
