Job Description
Duties: 
Operates heavy trucks and equipment. Maintains Plant grounds. Paints structures and equipment. Keeps clairier weirs clean. Relieves Plant Operator when necessary. Inspects equipment for safety hazards before use. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as needed. Inspects defective equipment to determine cause or malfunction and possibility of repair. Works in a safe manner. Keeps work area clean and safe. Follows safety rules and uses safe work practices. Uses safety equipment as required. Performs other related duties as required.
Working Conditions: 
Frequent exposure of up to 80% of work time to dirt, dust, extremes of temperatures, noise, and noxious fumes and odors. Exposure to hazards associated with equipment, machinery, and moving vehicles on roadways. On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience: 
High school diploma or equivalent. One to two years’ experience in Wastewater Treatment or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge: 
Tools, equipment, and materials used in Wastewater Treatment. Occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations. Traffic control regulations and procedures.
Skills: 
Operation of standard equipment used in Wastewater Treatment. Interpersonal skills necessary to be courteous of fellow employees and citizens while performing duties.
License and/or Certification: 
Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record. Must be able to obtain Oklahoma CDL, Class B within six (6) months of employment. Must be able to obtain State of Oklahoma Health Department Wastewater Operator, Class D certification within six (6) months of employment.
Mental & Physical: 
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (25-50 lb.) and heavy (50-75 lb.) supplies, materials, and debris frequently. Work requires continued walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
