Job Description
Duties: 
Maintains plant grounds. Paints structures and equipment. Clean facilities, grounds and equipment. Relieves plant operator when necessary. Inspects equipment for safety hazards before use. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as needed. Inspects defective equipment to determine cause or malfunction and possibility of repair. Works in a manner safe to the individual and public. Keeps work area clean and safe. Follows safety rules and uses safe work practices. Uses safety equipment as required. Performs other related duties as required.
Working Conditions: 
Frequent exposure of up to 80% of work time to dirt, dust, extremes of temperatures, noise, and noxious fumes and odors. Exposure to hazards associated with equipment, machinery, and moving vehicles on roadways. On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience: 
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Any experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge: 
Tools, equipment, and materials used in facility maintenance, grounds keeping, and water treatment maintenance. Occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations.
Skills: 
Operation of standard equipment used in water treatment. Interpersonal skills necessary to be courteous of fellow employees and citizens while performing duties.
License and/or Certification: 
Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record. Water Operator Certification, Class D from Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) or ability to obtain within one (1) year of employment.
Mental & Physical: 
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (25-50 lb.) and heavy (50-75 lb.) supplies, materials, and debris frequently. Work requires continued walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
