Job Description
Duties: 
Supports client’s AV needs in integrated conferencing environments, including audio conferencing, desktop presentations, video cameras, microphones, audio systems and videoconferencing systems. Leverages Audio Visual expertise in providing live troubleshooting and incident management skills within integrated conference rooms and council chamber. Executes all aspects of live broadcasts of public meetings and events, including set-up of equipment, operating consoles, operating cameras, end user training, troubleshooting and follow-through on escalations of issues. Maintains integrated AV systems and performing quarterly preventative maintenance procedures to ensure all systems function as intended. Works with vendors and manufacturers to resolve intricate problems onsite. Provides consultation and education to all levels of end-users on presentation technologies as well as internal conferencing platforms. Facilitates repairs and or replacements to AV. Insures all video and audio tapes of public meetings are captured and distributed as required by relevant regulations and policies. Live steams events for Facebook or current social media platform. Shoots and edits short videos. Captures key data requested by management to ensure timely deliverables. Assists technical team in coordination of content to outside agencies when needed. Assists in updating City’s website and other media sites including, but not limited to, Facebook and YouTube. Assists with AV offsite at special events. Performs other related work as required.
Working Conditions: 
Works in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Works a flexible schedule to accommodate technical support of meetings held outside of regular business hours.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience: 
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Industry relevant training, courses or certifications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Knowledge: 
Thorough knowledge in troubleshooting and operating integrated AV systems, including: integrated audio systems, cameras, video matrix switchers, and video programming server. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Understanding of how to communicate information via the internet using social media and data feeds.
Skills: 
Experience working in Crestron Integrated AV rooms. Experience working with enterprise editing tools such as Adobe video editing software. Ability to differentiate between various audio, video, computer and network cables and connectors. Basic knowledge and understanding of web conferencing platforms including: Adobe Connect, WebEx, and Skype for Business. Must be able to use internal desktop workspaces and platforms required upon the client’s requests.
License and/or Certification: 
Must possess a valid state driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
Mental & Physical: 
Mental/visual insight required due to sustained periods of concentration, working under pressure of deadlines, and continued interruptions in concentration from staff requiring assistance. Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, and move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, and sit and use a computer for a long period of time. Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents. Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, in handwritten forms and printed on paper. Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone. Ability to climb a 12 foot ladder. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
