BACKGROUND

In 2015, the City of Norman entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Oklahoma City, Edmond, Moore, Midwest City, and Del City to memorialize an agreement reached by interested Central Oklahoma municipalities on the commitment of staff and financial resources needed to create a Regional Transit Authority (RTA) Task Force. The formation of the RTA Task Force was necessary to establish the Regional Transit Authority. The duties of the Task Force are to establish the structure, design and rules of operation of the Regional Transit Authority.
