Westwood Aquatics Center closes Thursday, Friday due to positive employee COVID-19 test

The Westwood Aquatics Center will be closed Thursday and Friday out of an abundance of caution following an employee testing positive for COVID-19.

As a precautionary measure, all Aquatic Center staff will be tested for the virus and the Saturday reopening will be determined based on the results. The employee that tested positive was not a swim instructor and did not have any direct contact with the general public.

The health and safety of pool patrons is the number one priority of the Westwood Aquatics Center. The pool is following CDC recommendations for sanitization and social interactions.
