City of Norman Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. See below for additional details regarding the Solid Waste Division, City Transit services and Parks & Recreation.

 

Solid Waste Division

The Solid Waste Division will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 24. Trash, Yard Waste and Recycling collection will be delayed one day; service will be carried out as follows:

• Residents with Thursday (11/24/22) collection will shift to Friday (11/25/22).
• Residents with Friday (11/25/22) collection will shift to Saturday (11/26/22).

The Compost Facility and the Transfer Station will be closed on Thursday, November 24. They will reopen on Friday, November 25 with normal operating hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Compost Facility, 398 Bratcher Miner Road; and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the Transfer Station, 3901 S. Transit

The City transit service – EMBARK Norman – will not operate on Thursday, November 24. Find a schedule and real-time information at embarknorman.com.

 

Parks & Recreation

All recreation centers will be closed on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25. Westwood Golf and Tennis will be closed Thursday, November 24 and open regular hours on Friday, November 25. Questions can be directed to 405-366-5472.
