All lanes of 48th Avenue NW will be closed between West Rock Creek Road and West Tecumseh Road Monday morning at 8:00 a.m., August 2, for approximately 2 weeks, weather permitting.  A sanitary sewer main needs to be constructed under the road.  The construction involves extensive dewatering of the area due to the high groundwater table which requires this temporary road closure.  A signed detour will be in place using West Rock Creek Road, 36th Ave NW, and West Tecumseh Road.  Access to the Fountain View, Las Colinas, and Ashton Grove neighborhoods will be available via the established detour route.

This sanitary sewer project is associated with the Ashton Grove Villas residential development currently under construction.  Traffic devices will be installed to direct the traveling public.
