City of Norman Administrative Offices close to observe Thanksgiving Holiday

Offices will be closed November 25 & 26, 2021

The City of Norman Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. See below for additional details regarding the Sanitation Division, City Transit services and Parks & Recreation.

 

Sanitation Division

The Sanitation Division will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 2021. Trash, Yard Waste and Recycling collection will be delayed one day; service will be carried out as follows:

  • Citizens with Thursday (11/25/21) collection will shift to Friday (11/26/21).
  • Citizens with Friday (11/26/21) collection will shift to Saturday (11/27/21).

The Compost Facility and the Transfer Station will be closed on Thursday, November 25. They will reopen on Friday, November 26 with normal operating hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Compost Facility, 398 Bratcher Miner Road; and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the Transfer Station, 3901 S. Chautauqua.

Transit

The City transit service – EMBARK Norman – will not operate on Thursday, November 25. Find a schedule and real-time information at embarknorman.com.

 

Parks & Recreation

All recreation centers will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26. Westwood Golf, located at 240 Westport Drive, will reopen on Friday, November 26.
