Community members, vendors and sponsors are welcome to celebrate Earth Day through activities, exhibits and demonstrations at Reaves Park, 2502 Jenkins Avenue, from noon to 5 p.m. April 23. The event is hosted by City of Norman staff, alongside community partners and volunteers, and there is no cost of admission.
“We are looking forward to a fun-filled afternoon and many opportunities to share knowledge about protecting our planet together,” said Michele Loudenback, Environment and Sustainability Manager for the City of Norman.
Vendor applications are now available and must be submitted by April 10: https://www.normanok.gov/sites/default/files/documents/2023-01/2023%20Earth%20Day%20Festival%20Vendor%20Registration%20Form.pdf. Vendor fees only apply to those selling products. A limited number of electric outlets and stationary picnic tables are available on a first-requested basis. Sponsorship packages range from $250 to $1,000.
Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970 and is now observed by more than a billion people each year. Learn more at www.earthday.org. Questions about the upcoming Norman event may be directed to Michele.Loudenback@normanok.gov. Access a festival flyer at: https://www.normanok.gov/media/16543.
