Grand Reopening and Ribbon-Cutting for Sunrise Park happening 10/4/24

The City of Norman Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce the grand reopening of Sunrise Park, located at 324 Skyline Drive. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 4th, 2024, to celebrate the completion of the park’s much-anticipated renovation.

As part of the voter-approved Norman Forward initiative, Sunrise Park now features a brand new playground designed to promote outdoor play and physical activity for children of all ages and abilities. The park also boasts newly constructed walking trails, enhancing accessibility and providing the community with an expanded space for recreation and fitness.

“We are always excited to provide Norman residents with a revitalized green space where families can gather, children can play, and everyone can enjoy being outside,” said Jason Olsen, Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Norman.

All residents are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony. For more information, please contact the Norman Parks & Recreation Department at (405) 366-5472 or visit www.normanok.gov/parks.
