The Norman Neighbors Project, in conjunction with the City of Norman and the Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma (NACOK), will host the first of several micro-series workshops from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 19 in the Redbud Room at Norman Public Library Central Library (103 W. Acres Street).
“Coordinators will be discussing the how’s and why’s involved with organizing a ‘Voluntary Neighborhood Association,’” said Lisa Krieg, CDBG Grants Manager and NACOK staff liaison. “These types of organizations can be used to monitor issues that affect the neighborhood and set up effective lines of communication to build connections within the neighborhood.”
No registration is necessary to attend this free event. Food will be provided.
NACOK, a contractor of the City of Norman, strives to help create safe, healthy and attractive neighborhoods for all. Learn more at nacok.org.
