Norman police arrest one following a multitude of thefts from mailboxes and auto burglaries in central Norman. While reviewing footage of a possible suspect in these thefts, officers observed a suspicious male matching the description taking mail from from multiple mailboxes at that moment.
Officers contacted the male, later identified as 42-year-old Adeshola Pedro, in the area of E. Constitution Avenue and Oak Tree Avenue at approximately 11:37 p.m. on Monday (October 25). Inside his backpack, officers found 128 pieces of stolen mail including credit cards, gift cards, and personal information documents. The items connect Pedro to several vehicle break-ins and mail thefts across Norman.
Pedro was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center on complaints of knowingly concealing stolen property, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstruction.
