The Norman Police Department (NPD) will implement various high-visibility safety projects in areas of increased holiday travel and shopping through the end of the year. Patrons can expect an increased presence of officers focused on hazardous traffic violations, impaired driving, and a deterrence of crimes such as larceny and robbery.

The Proactive Crime Enforcement (PACE) Team, Patrol Division, and Bike Team will be conducting high visibility enforcement in the downtown area to address any criminal violations including those related to homeless concerns or issues.
