The Norman Police Department (NPD) responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 1800 block of Twisted Oak Drive at approximately 12:40 p.m. Friday.
Once on scene, officers located a 52-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds and immediately began rendering medical aid. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
Witnesses provided responding officers with a description of the shooter who ran from the area following the shooting. Officers established a perimeter and initiated a search for the suspect.
During the course of the search, the suspect, later identified as 31-year-old Timothy Daniel Moseley (DOB: 3/3/1993), was located in the 1300 block of E. Lindsey Street. He was detained as a person of interest and later arrested in connection to the shooting. Moseley was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center on a complaint of first degree murder and two complaints of possession of a firearm after felony conviction.
The initial investigation indicates that the victim and suspect were involved in a verbal disturbance prior to the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.
