The current starting salary for a Norman police officer is $51,705. The salary and benefits of all officers is determined through a collective bargaining process just as it is with the majority of city employees and other professions such as teachers.

Norman is the third largest city by population in Oklahoma and ranks seventh overall in officer pay.

Groups often use this tactic of sharing misinformation as a method of positioning unions against one another. We stand with the teachers in our combined goal of student safety.
