Norman Police Department investigators recently presented the evidence associated with the Jan. 20 officer-involved shooting to the Cleveland County District Attorney’s Office.
Following a review of the investigative reports, body camera footage, witness statements and other evidence, the Cleveland County District Attorney’s Office determined that the force utilized by each of the involved officers was justified and appropriate under the law.
The three officers remain on routine administrative assignment pending the completion of the internal review of the incident.
The associated homicide investigation by the NPD Criminal Investigations Division is ongoing.
