Published 2/17/22: The City of Norman will host a public meeting from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 21 in Council Chambers, 201 W. Gray Street, to discuss recent evaluations of the water and sewer connection fees. Raftelis, the consultant for the City, will present information regarding connection or impact fee methodology, the steps taken for the analysis, and the results of their evaluation. Following the Raftelis presentation, the meeting will be opened to public comments and questions as time allows. For those that cannot attend in person, the meeting will be available for virtual viewing at https://vimeo.com/cityofnormanok.
Water and sewer connection fees are one-time fees collected as development or growth occurs. Funds generated from connection fees are used to fund projects that will increase the capacity of pipes and facilities for their respective system.
