City of Norman Administrative Offices will close in coming weeks to observe two upcoming holidays: Christmas and New Year’s. Please see additional information about closures below.
CHRISTMAS INFORMATION
- Administrative Offices: Administrative Offices of the City of Norman will be closed 12/23/22 and 12/26/22 to observe the Christmas holiday. Normal business hours will resume 12/27/22.
- Solid Waste Division: Services of the Solid Waste Division will be unaffected the week of Christmas. Collections – to include household trash, recycling, yard waste, and commercial service – will run as normally scheduled. The Transfer Station (3901 S. Chautauqua) and Compost Site (398 Bratcher Miner Road) will also be open regular hours.
- During the week following – December 26 through December 30 – extra holiday trash (such as wrapping paper, bags or boxes) will be picked up for City of Norman utility customers. This type of trash should be set at least two feet from the polycart.
- Live Christmas Tree Disposal – Solid Waste workers will be picking up Christmas trees (non-artificial) on the regular yard waste pick up. Please remove any stands and/or ornaments. If the tree is more than 6ft. in length, please cut it in half and place at the curbside. The yard waste pick up will continue regular service through the winter months. - Parks & Recreation: All recreation centers will be closed 12/23/22 through 12/26/22. Westwood Golf will remain open until 3 p.m. 12/23/22.

NEW YEAR’S INFORMATION

- Solid Waste Division: Services of the Solid Waste Division will be unaffected the week of New Year's. Collections – to include household trash, recycling, yard waste, and commercial service – will run as normally scheduled. The Transfer Station (3901 S. Chautauqua) and Compost Site (398 Bratcher Miner Road) will also be open regular hours.
