The City of Norman a proud partner of the United Way of Norman, which helps support a wide array of local nonprofits that provide vital services to one in every four members of the community. This year, several departments have coordinated fundraisers that are open to the public and details can be found below.
• RIDE TO SCHOOL WITH NFD [$5 per raffle ticket] – through 10/31/23: Fundraiser geared toward school-aged students. Winner receives a ride to school in a firetruck! There are three opportunities to win and raffle tickets can be purchased at: Norman Fire Administration Building, 415 E. Main (weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon or from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.), and at The Well, 210 James Garner Avenue (weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.). All students selected must reside in the NPS district, have a guardian at least 18 years or older for accompaniment, and complete a waiver of liability.
• SIZZLING SWEEP STEAKS [$5 per raffle tickets or five tickets for $20] – through 10/26/23: Winner receives 24 8-ounce Ribeyes! Visit the Communications Suite of Norman City Hall, 201 W. Gray, during traditional business hours for tickets.
• YETI COOLER RAFFLE [$5 per raffle tickets or five tickets for $20] – through 11/1/23: Winner receives a Yeti Tundra 35 hard cooler & a beer care pack from Equity Brewing! Visit the City Attorney’s Office at Norman City Hall, 201 W. Gray, during traditional business hours for tickets.
• EVERYTHING APPLE [$5 per raffle tickets or five tickets for $20] – through 11/2/23: Winner receives basket with Apple Watch, Apple Air Pods Pro & assorted apple-themed items. Visit the Office of the City Clerk, 201 W. Gray, during traditional business hours for tickets.
• SPLISH SPLASH, SUMMER POOL BASH [$5 per raffle tickets or five tickets for $20] – through 10/27/23: Winner receives a personal pool party at Westwood Family Aquatic Center. Center can accommodate both small and large parties! Visit the Parks & Recreation Department at the Development Center, 225 N. Webster, during traditional business hours for tickets.
• OU BASKET [$3 per raffle ticket or four tickets for $10] – through 10/27/23: Winner receives OU-themed basket consisting of work station deskmat, mousepad and mouse, blue tooth speaker, two O’Connell’s cups and two O’Connell’s gift certificates, two lanyards and keychains. Visit Municipal Court, N. Santa Fe & W. Daws, during traditional business hours for tickets.
