Reconstruction of 60th Avenue NE Bridge to begin August 27, 2024

The reconstruction of 60th Avenue NE Bridge – located between Rock Creek Road and Tecumseh Road – is set to begin August 27, 2024. Work is made possible by the voter-approved Bridge by Bridge Proposition and begins following necessary right-of-way acquisition processes.

The bridge was originally closed in December 2022 due to safety concerns, preceding the proposition vote. Construction is expected to be completed within six months. Both lanes of travel will remain closed over that time period. Reconstruction will include wider lanes, new shoulders, and improved guard rail.
