Bio-solid Management: Steps are taken to minimize any adverse environmental impact of sludge processing and to beneficially reuse and safely dispose of treated sludge.

Bio-solids is anaerobically digested to level B category and applied to permitted agricultural land sites under the guidance of the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality Approved Bio-solid Management Plan and Federal ”503” Regulation. The City of Norman presently land applied cake or liquid form. During extended wet weather conditions, bio-solids can be stored at the bio-solids storage facility. 

Bio-Solids Usage: Land application for beneficial use on rural agricultural land – primarily Bermuda and native grass.
