Councilmember Carter to Hold Town Hall on UNP TIF Monday

Ward 2 Councilmember Joe Carter invites Norman residents to attend a meeting on the history of the University North Park Tax Increment Finance District from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, November 23. The meeting will be held in Council Chambers at City Hall, 201 W. Gray Street, with staff in attendance to answer questions.

West Brooks Street Closes at 24th Ave SW Wednesday

West Brooks Street will be closed at the bridge between 24th Ave SW and Terrace Place from 7 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4 through Nov. 25 for bridge maintenance work. Drivers are encouraged plan extra travel time and locate alternate route.

Norman Police Investigate Suspicious Death

The Norman Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate two persons of interest in an ongoing suspicious death investigation. Investigators are currently looking for 28-year-old James Brueggert (DOB: 7/28/1992) and 30-year-old Skyler Branton (DOB: 04/16/1990) as they are believed to be the last people to see 21-year-old Leanna Rae Bell on October 16 in Norman.

Norman Police Investigate Fatality Collision on Highway 9 near 120th Avenue SE

The Norman Police Department responded to a report of a critical injury collision on State Highway 9 just east of 120th Avenue SE at approximately 11:43 a.m. Monday. One individual died from injuries sustained as a result of the collision.
