14 Residential Sewage Lift Station

Pumping capabilities - 1,000 - 1,500,000 gallons per day

All sewage must flow through the collection system pipes to the wastewater treatment plant by gravity flow. If a neighborhood is located at a lower elevation than the nearest collection system connection, the sewage must be pumped up hill to the nearest sanitary sewer manhole. Sanitary sewer lift stations pump sewage "uphill" to the collection system 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Norman's lift stations are equipped with SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system that monitors pump diagnostics, flows, alarms and electrical faults.  The SCADA system sends texts that are monitored by Division staff 24/7.
